How can you get touch urine smell out of carpet?
toni01rh asked:
I have a 4 year old who decided to *** on the carpet twice(that i know of), and i’ve shampooed his carpet over and over with all sorts of different solutions for urine smell, and nothing seems to work. Plus i will not replace the carpet since i live in an apartment. Any solutions?
I meant tough urine smell in the title

Here’s the tips I’ve heard of for removing urine smells:
Vinegar
Baking soda
Nature’s Miracle (sold at pet stores for pet stains)
Listerine
color safe bleach (i use the scented kind)
Odo-Ban (small bottle sold at Walmart, big jugs available at Sams)

The answer is easy. Go to a pet supply store, Petsmart has the product Nature’s Miracle Just for Cats. It has enzymes and no bad chemicals. While you’re at it, get a Stink Finder (That’s what it’s called). It’s a black light that leads you right to where the stain is. Spray your Nature’s Miracle. I have found that it takes one application. If it’s REALLY BAD, it might need two.

One last try, liberally put baking soda on the spot and let set for 2-3 hours, make sure the carpet is dry first, then vacuum off. IF that doesn’t work, the flooring under the carpet or the padding under the carpet has gotten wet with the urine and you may have to at least pull the carpet back to get to the spot to clean it up.
