How do i clean PET recycled carpets?

I recently moved into an apartment who i currently going green and they installed PET recycled carpets. Other tenants had problems with it shedding when vacuuming, is there another way to prevent the shedding? I’ve been extremely careful with it since I don’t want to be charged fees on move out.
