try hair spray on the ink. get a spray bottle and put part joy dish soap and part vinegar. spray on spot and scrub clean. get a dry old cloth and scrub it dry. don’t spray to much.

It is best to get a professional carpet cleaner to get the stains out especially as they are dried. Different inks require different chemicals to remove them.
Most home remedies or those you get from the supermarket could bleach your carpet or set the stain. A professional can extract the chemicals back out of the carpet whereas you can’t so they sit there eating it away.
Also depending on the type of carpet you have (eg. sisal,or tight weaves) you could cause the carpet to pill or fluff by using the wrong technique. My husband an I had our on carpet cleaning business so we have seen the disasters caused by people trying to remove stains themselves.
Anything you do to the carpet makes it harder for the professional to get the stain out.
Hairspray will set the ink and making it very wet will cause a watermark.
